Take It To The Limit, One More Time

So yesterday I talked about it squicks me out when a girl wants to get choked during sex.

A lot of the girls responded that they liked to be choked during sex. Many of them pointed out that it can be done safely.

Because I’m human – and therefore an irrational creature – none of that convinces me that I’d ever, ever be willing to do it to a girl, even though I’m up for just about any other act that will get the girl off.

But, one of you lovely lassies mentioned that she feels the same way about face slapping as I do about girl choking.

Which makes me think that we all have our irrational squick limits.

So, I have to ask – what are yours? And what makes them, in your mind, cross the line?

Rough Sex

The wonderful Tristian Taormino has a great idea for her new movie.

She got several very famous porn stars and asked them what their honest to god real rough sex fantasies are. Most of the girls had sub fantasies but at least one wanted to be the top, so you get some variation. She then asked them what male porn star they’d like to live out that fantasy with. Then, she filmed the experiences.

The result apparently is something almost non-existent in porn – female porn stars being in charge and getting exactly the sexual experience they want on camera, with exactly who they want. Even though several of the scenes sound sorta rapey (stranded in the desert and taken by a guy who stops to help, getting fucked by an intruder, etc..) they sound like they are in a way “feminist rapey.”

So, I’m all for it.

Yet, one of the promotional images squicks me. It shows a dude with his hand around a girl’s neck as though he’s choking her. Yes, I know a lot of girls have this fantasy. I’ve even been asked by girls to choke them during sex.

But… and I say this as a guy who is willing to indulge almost any female fantasy… I can’t get behind the choking thing. I won’t do it to a girl and it worries me that there are so many women who want it.

It’s just too fucking dangerous. Good sex, especially good rough sex, is about the loss of control. And, if you lose control when your hand is around a girl’s neck you can really fucking easily kill her.

And, that idea totally kills my boner. I almost want to write that I sorta feel like it’s the one consensual sex act that should be strongly condemned. If I was in charge of high school sex ed curriculum I’d argue hard to get “do not choke your girlfriend even if she asks you to” put into the curriculum.

If that makes me a conservative fuddy duddy, so be it.
